View From A Non-Profit Serving Carmel, Carmel Valley, Carmel-by-the-Sea, Gonzalez, Greenfield, King City, Marina, Monterey, Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach, Salinas, Seaside And Soledad California The Veterans Transition Center and the United Veterans Council have partnered up for an event called Stand Down, which will be at the Salinas Sports Complex at 1034 North Main Street tomorrow through Thursday.   Homeless veterans will be able to get free medical and dental care, warm clothes and a confortable and clean sleeping environment.  They are also welcome to bring their children and pets who will receive free child care and veterinary care.  Volunteers include chaplains, barbers and beauticians.  There will also be free bus service provided.  To find out more about the event and how you can help, please click here.  I wrote recently on my blog about the financial difficulties Dorothy's Place has been having.  They serve numerous Monterey County elderly women who are homeless.  Please reach out and help these seniors in need by contacting one of these organizations or clicking on the Donate button above.  We appreciate your support.
